Sunday Service:
Our Sunday services begin at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. Our 9:30 am service would be considered more of a traditional style which includes our choir and orchestra. Our 11:00 am would be considered more of a modern which includes our band. Our Pastor preaches Biblical messages that are relevant to your life. He typically preaches from the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible, but we encourage you to use whatever translation is most comfortable for you.
You may be asking how you should dress for a service. You’re invited to come as you are, whether it’s a suit or shorts you feel most comfortable wearing. From suits to jeans, dresses to pants, you will see a variety of styles.
Doors to the worship center open 30 minutes before each service.
College Road Kids:
Children are a top priority here at College Road Baptist. Your children are safe and will be cared for by a team of loving people who have gone through a background check, interview and training and who have a passion for teaching the next generation about Jesus. To add another element of security for you, all children are checked in utilizing a computer system. You can register your children (birth – 5th grade) at the entrance to the children’s ministry building.
Registration is open starting 15 minutes prior to service times. You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released to you. We recommend that you use your cell phone to take a picture of your matching tag and text it to anyone else that you may want to pick up your child.
LifeGroups:
In a hectic world, it is vital that you have a growing relationship with God and a strong support network of fellow believers. This is why we offer LifeGroups. We have LifeGroups available on our campus as well as homes throughout our community. Stop by Guest Central for a list.
We Believe:
The Bible
- We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error, the only sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
God
- We believe in one God, the maker, preserver and ruler of all things whose perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future. He is eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus
- We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and man. He perfectly revealed and did the will of God. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.
Salvation
- We believe that God originally created man in His own image and free from sin, but, by his free choice, man sinned against God,
brought sin into the world, inherited a sinful nature, and are under condemnation as transgressors.
- We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God’s grace, entirely apart from man’s works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and call on Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
- We believe that all true believers whom God has accepted in Christ, and sanctified by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace. They shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto Salvation.
The Church
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the church, which is composed of all true believers. They are committed to His teachings and exercise the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word.
Baptism and The Lord’s Supper
- We believe that baptism is by immersion and the Lord’s Supper is a memorial to Christ’s suffering and death on the cross. These ordinances are to be observed by the church in its present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man’s salvation.
Last Days
- We believe God will bring the world to its appropriate end and Jesus Christ will personally return in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will go into everlasting punishment, the righteous into everlasting life.
