What to Expect

Visiting a new place can be overwhelming and perhaps even uncomfortable for some people. We completely understand that and will do all we can to make your visit an enjoyable and memorable one. If you are looking for a perfect church, we will be the first to tell you that we are not that church. We will make mistakes, but we promise you that we learn from those mistakes and grow in spite of them. When you arrive for Worship, we encourage you to fill out a Connect Card and receive a free gift as our way of saying thanks for visiting. Hopefully, we can answer some of your questions below.

What should I wear?

This is the most frequently asked question and biggest concern for a first time visit. Let us put you at ease and say that you will find some people dressed to the nines, some business-casual and some casual. From suits to jeans, dresses to pants, you will see a variety of styles.

What are the worship services like?

We offer two worship services in Building B every Sunday morning. At our 9:30 AM service you will find a traditional service including the choir. Our 11:00 AM service is more of a contemporary style which includes our praise band. We also offer a Spanish worship service at 10:30 AM in Building A Chapel.

The Message?

Our Pastor preaches Biblical messages that are relevant to your life. He typically preaches from the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible, but we encourage you to use whatever translation is most comfortable for you.

Will they ask me for money?

This is one of the things that can make people uncomfortable. Though we ask and expect our members to give sacrificially to help spread the Gospel throughout our county and world, we don’t expect you to give the first time you walk through the doors. We are not here to take your money, we are here to serve you.

What about my children?

Children are a top priority here at College Road Baptist. Your children are safe and will be cared for by a team of loving people who have gone through a background check, interview and training and who have a passion for teaching the next generation about Jesus. To add another element of security for you, all children are checked in utilizing a computer system. You can register your children (birth – 5th grade) at the entrance to the Children’s Ministry (Building C) by the playground. The Student Ministry (grades 6 -12) attends worship at 11:00 AM and Bible study is available at 9:30 AM in Building B. Children’s & Preschool Ministries are not available during the 8:00 AM Bible study time.

What’s the best way to connect with people?

Without a doubt, the best way to connect with others at College Road Baptist Church is one of three ways: Regularly attending a worship service to build your FAITH, connecting with a Life Group to grow deeper as a part of our FAMILY, and through serving others to impact lives for Christ FOREVER.

We offer Life Groups on campus at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM on Sundays as well as 6:30 PM on Wednesday evenings. We also have Life Groups in various communities and will continue adding new Life Groups throughout the year.

Volunteering in ministry is also a way to form strong bonds and connections with others. For more info, please visit our Welcome Center in Building B.
